System 3 Business Solutions install and support network-based e-mail solutions to provide your company with internal and external e-mail. With features such as shared address books and integration with other office software applications, your business will benefit from improved communications and each employee can have their own personal e-mail address (eg. name.surname@yourdomain.co.uk) with all messages automatically distributed to their personal mailbox. Mailboxes can then be accessed from PCs on the company network or via webmail.

Network e-mail systems solve the problem of one person downloading everyone's messages, having to print them off and deliver printed messages by hand. Not only does a system save time and money but it is also much more secure.

E-mail Server Software

E-mail server software such as Microsoft Exchange Server or FTGate, can be installed on your network server or dedicated e-mail server. The e-mail server software is responsible for the management of all inbound and outbound messages, acting as a 'post office', processing all messages to recognise their destination and sending them either via the internet for outgoing messages, or internally to the individual mailbox of the relevant person.

The e-mail server software can be configured to send and receive at set intervals, block unwanted messages (or SPAM), detect for viruses, and automatically reply to e-mails with certain properties via autoresponders. Another benefit of having a network e-mail server, rather than e-mail controlled by your ISP, is that it can be set up to receive all messages even if the name before the @ sign is mis-spelt. If you wish, an administrator account can receive all messages that the server doesn't recognise so that it can be dealt with, rather than being returned to the sender.

Outlook / Webmail

Users can collect their emails from their personal mailbox via Outlook if in the office or, if you have broadband Internet access, we can set up web mail so remote users or users at home (or on holiday!) can read and respond to their mail. With all mailboxes being stored on the server they are backed up centrally for added security.
